Submit Your Innovation Now!

Starting  March 2^nd, 2026, every employee at SCDOT will have the opportunity to submit their innovation. Whether you’re working in the field, at a district office, or behind the scenes at headquarters — your innovations are essential to shaping the future of our agency.

Both tools/equipment and process improvement innovations will be evaluated by the Innovation Council on 4 criteria: increased safety, improved efficiency, cost-savings, and ingenuity. Scroll down to see examples from past winners.

Finalists will be notified in June and winners will be announced at the July 30^th showcase at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center. 

Winners may receive up to a $500 bonus!
